Challenging Behaviour Specialists!

We are currently seeking behaviour specialists Teaching Assistants to work with children and young adults with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This may involve with pupils demonstrating a number of additional needs, including:

* Uncooperative or disruptive behaviour
* Depression
* Anxiety
* ADHD

Responsibilities include:

* Support pupils to make good academic progress, under the direction of the teacher
* Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
* Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
* Assist in implementing education plans, under the guidance of the teacher

Support for Teachers:

* Use strategies, under the direction of the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals
* Discuss with the teacher how learning activities are to be organised and what their own support role will be
* Monitor pupil's responses to learning activities and accurately record and feedback to the teacher as directed

Education/Training:

A minimum of a C grade in GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Degree, diploma or other recognised professional qualification in a relevant area is desirable.

Experience/Skills:

Essential

* Good organisational skills
* Flexibility to deal with a variety of situations
* Resilient and confident working with pupils who have various levels of needs.

Desirable

* Previous similar experience working in a school, or in a health care environment
* Qualification relevant to the role
* Team Teach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
