Due to our unrivalled growth, we are now looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our head office finance team. On offer is:

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be fully responsible for the entire purchase ledger process. You will be required to match purchase orders (raised by the operational team) to purchase invoices received from suppliers prior to processing onto the finance system. You will periodically prepare BACS payment runs in line with credit terms and ensuring future forecasted liabilities are considered and reported to the Financial Controller of possible cashflow issues. Regular supplier statement reconciliations will be required to ensure the supplier ledgers remains accurate and complete. Duties include:

- Processing staff expenses
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Filing and coding invoices
- Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries from across the business
- Process and allocate bank payments onto the finance system against suppliers
- Managing the client and site petty cash card and bank accounts


The Ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk:

The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will have good working knowledge of finance systems; in particular the supplier ledger module. You will have demonstrable experience of bookkeeping and have excellent Excel skills. You will also:

- Possess excellent communication skills with internal staff and suppliers
- Have positive team working skills
- Be self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
- Have the ability to work to deadlines
