Business Development Manager

You can be based: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire (South) or Cambridgeshire

Territory: National - UK wide excluding Ireland

The role of the Business Development Manager will be:

* Selling a range of mechanical systems to new clients across the UK.
* Leads will be self-generated, and all new internal / web leads will be passed on to you to follow up.
* Office/home based 1.5 days per week and a minimum 3.5 days per week on the road visiting new customers face to face.
* Although this is a 100% new customer generation sales position, the role requires a level of engineering aptitude and of equal importance to build solid client relationships.
* You will also be responsible for market planning, customer development, obtaining RFQ's (request for quotes) and following up & closing out new quotations.
* Meet all clients' face to face, carry out site surveys and to perform technical and commercial sales presentations.
* Attend tradeshows, exhibitions and marketing initiatives.

Experience and background required for the Business Development Managers role:

* A proven track record in new business sales with mechanical, industrial or technical products.
* You must demonstrate new business hunter instincts/track record of new business wins.
* You must also be technically astute either by education or experience.
* Based in any one of the above-mentioned counties.
* Possess a full EU driving licence.
