The company
Our client is a leading set a commercial barristers Chambers comprising of 59 Barristers and 9 International members and honorary associates.

The Role
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Practice Manager and the CEO/ Director of Clerking and share responsibility for a defined group of Barristers. The role includes diary and practice management for the allocation and distribution of work, booking hearings and conferences, fixing cases with courts and advising professional clients of counsel`s availability. They will promote members of the Chambers and sell their services to new and existing clients. The candidate will also be expected to attend performance review meeting, negotiate and agree fees for work done, data input on the MLC system and supervise more junior staff. Occasional attendance at Chamber and client functions will be required and any other duties necessary as part of a professional team.

Essential Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least eight years` experience in clerking within a high pressure environment ideally within a Chambers
Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
Be a team player but able to work unsupervised and under pressure
Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Be polite, friendly and smart in appearance
Be able to demonstrate a positive attitude in challenging circumstances
Be trustworthy
Have at least two A levels or equivalent qualifications and /or a Degree.

Key Skills
Clerking experience or similar within a high pressure environment
Manager experience desirable
Minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent and/or a Degree
Passion to deliver a high standard of service
Team player
Good communicator
Personally well presented
