As the Senior Domestic Services Manager, you will be responsible for organising and managing all of the domestic departments in accordance with, and to, the standards required by Compass Group UK & Ireland, the contract specification and statutory regulations. Based at King’s Mill Hospital, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the department, all cleaning and domestic services requirements and providing an exceptional quality of service whilst leading a large team of 250+. You will ensure that efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, team members and company assets.

Predominantly Monday-Friday (weekend/evening work expected)

Main responsibilities
Understand and deliver all contractual terms
Ensure full coverage of the domestic  cleaning service
Ensure budgets are understood and achieved
Ensure all costs are managed effectively within budget
Ensure all duties are carried out in line with required standards
Planning of rotas ensuring effective and economic deployment of the team
Ensure appropriate management cover is available during evenings & weekends
Ensure the domestic team are supported, trained, coached and developed
Complete annual appraisals and mid-term reviews with the team
Monitoring, measuring & reporting (monthly) upon agreed KPI’s
Chair all departmental meetings
Implement & review all relevant HSE procedures, promoting a safety culture
Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in date and compliant
Build & maintain relationships with Trust IPC
Drive & influence all domestic innovations
Support remote sites as required
Participate in the On Call rota to support the business
Develop & maintain a ‘One Team’ ethos, supporting all departments/sites within the contract

Ideal candidate
Extensive cleaning management experience
Experience managing large teams
Results orientatated
Operational experience in a similar environment
Excellent financial acumen
Strong organisational skills
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
I.T literate
DBS cleared - desirable
