Set in the heart of the Scottish Borders in a beautiful country setting with easy links to M74 main route between Scotland & England sits this award winning Scottish Inn which has a reputation for producing great food breakfast , lunch and dinner.

An experienced sous chef or ambitious chef de partie who most importantly is passionate about food. We are looking for a strong member for our team who can work alongside our chefs and be a good team player. You will have input into menus which are changed monthly.
What you do need above all else is an absolute passion for food, a hard working ethos and a burning desire to please. Someone who recognises that every plate they produce is crucial. Someone who does not see food as a mere job but more as a fulfilment of a personal desire.


The Chef de partie positions are integral part to the kitchen operation the key tasks you can expect to be involved in are:
- To maintain levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of our guests.
- To be a real Team Player and work to build strong working relationships.
- To ensure knowledge of product, client relationships and service is maintained and communicated
- To ensure effective daily communication within all areas of the Food & Beverage Operation
- To be aware of the security of stock, access and keys at all times.
- To avoid wastage at all times, and ensure food is stored securely and safely.

About your skills
- Previous experience in a similar role a minimum of 1 year
- Outstanding hygiene skills and a certificate in elementary food hygiene.
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills
- Self-Motivated

SALARY £23,000 - £27,000
