Main responsibilitiesKey areas of responsibility for our successful Reservations Manager will be;

Day to day management of the reservations team whilst being an active member.
Set up SMS and Evolution rates/packages as required and in a timely manner.
Yield availability, room types, rates and property information in SMS and 3rd party websites as required according to the rate strategy set in conjunction with the Revenue Manager.

Third party website management including rates and property information with a focus on how South Lodge is represented against our competitors.  To review current packages and their success and propose new options.
Implement booking procedures and manage Diary of Events to maximise occupancy.
Implement booking procedures and manage Christmas booking process to maximise occupancy and ensure customer satisfaction.  To include team training where required throughout the property.
To create and develop relationship with third party website providers to ensure South Lodge Hotel is their preferred venue and we are aware of any opportunities to drive business forward.
Account manage local corporate negotiated rates whilst actively referring leads for conference and other business as appropriate.
Ensure the BOB and Market Segment & Source Code report is regularly updated.
Ensure an understanding of the budget and financial reports to assist with the development and implementation of key actions required to achieve.
To actively participate in Departmental meetings and present as required.
To provide training and coaching for Reservations and Guest Services team for all tasks involving Reservations, Diary of Events and voucher sales.
In conjunction with the Revenue Manager to monitor and improve where appropriate the quality of the Reservations calls in line with call handling guidelines.
Manage the Reservations team rota (in conjunction with the Events team) to cover the office within the hours set by the Revenue Manager.
To conduct sales focused show rounds of the hotel when required by potential clients.
Anticipate guests’ needs where possible to enhance the quality of service and positively promote sales to maximise revenue.
Management of the Reservation Co-ordinator to include regular job chats and progression reviews.
Ensure all correspondence and data input is accurate and timely.
To respond to any other reasonable request as requested by the management of the property.


 

Ideal candidateOur successful Reservations Manager will have;


Previous luxury hotel experience from within the sales or reservations fields
Strong focus on rate management, revenue generation and business conversion
Proven team leadership skills
Outstanding guest care focus with an open and service orientated approach
Strong understanding of the luxury hotel market and preferably of our key competitors
Excellent communication abilities and be comfortable presenting at all levels within the business
Strong financial and business acumen
