Senior National Account Manager

Location: Preston

Salary: Up to �75k OTE DoE + Car Allowance

Our client is actively seeking a Senior National Account Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who relishes a new challenge.

You will be responsible for developing, managing and coaching a team of field-based Regional Sales Managers to achieve their KPIs and deliver the Accounts Team's strategic goals.

Responsibilities of the Senior National Account Manager:

* Recruiting, developing and leading nationwide sales team toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.
* Providing leadership to sales team through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development to support them to achieve their goals and take appropriate corrective action where needed
* Ensure effective recruitment, training, development, performance management and retention of sales team
* Developing and executing a successful sales strategy
* Managing team to meet/exceed monthly and annual sales forecasts
* Proactively identify changes in sales and trends to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
* Preparing and analysing monthly sales information, and produce reports which can be used for strategic and operational decision making
* Identifying new business opportunities and potential areas for growth whilst maximising existing accounts
* Working collaboratively with teams across the wider organisation

Essential Requirements of the Senior National Account Manager:

* You must currently be in a Senior Sales role
* You will need to have experience of managing B2B Sales team, key accounts and delivering successful sales and marketing strategies
* Private label experience with top 4 accounts
* Proven experience of successfully managing Regional or National Accounts in a sales role, ideally from a FMCG background.
* Evidence of delivering new business with accounts and increasing sales and profit.
* Proven experience managing a field-based sales team
* Proven experience of coaching and developing a field-based sales team
* Excellent Analytical and MI skills
* Demonstrate that you can work at effectively and proactively without supervision
* Excellent time management and organisational skills

Additional Requirements of the Senior National Account Manager:

* Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager with excellent negotiation skills and have the ability to demonstrate key closing techniques
* Background in managing, leading, developing and retaining a high performing sales team
* Proven ability to communicate, present and influence people at all levels
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
* Proven ability to drive an increase in sales targets
* Monthly and annual business planning skills
* Full clean UK Driving Licence
