The successful SEN TA / Teaching Assistant will be a passionate graduate with a minimum second-class degree. The Head is looking for a SEN TA / Teaching Assistant with a calming nature and attitude, so you can work closely with SEN pupils to help them aim high. You must have previous experience of working with children with Special Needs in either an educational or care setting.

Day-to-day, you will be working closely with pupils who have a statement of SEN and helping them reach their targets. You will be leading one-to-one sessions and booster classes for SEN students to aid their learning. The chosen SEN TA will be supported by the SENCO and expected to liaise with both parents and teachers to ensure the most effective SEN provision.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
