Sales Manager

Territory: UK & Ireland

The suitable candidate can be based: Anywhere in the UK close to a motorway network

The role of the Sales Manager will be as follows:

* Reporting to the MD, your role will be home based 1 day per week and 4 days field-based visiting customers face to face.
* A new business development role where 50% of your time will be contacting the existing client base to obtain new business and the remaining 50% targeting brand new clients.
* You will be selling a range of process/rotating equipment into the Food, Beverage, Distilleries, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Process.
* Selling a range of rotating equipment (pumps) and sophisticated digitalised systems related to Industry 4.0.
* To work closely with Internal Engineering Teams who will formulate bids and quotations.
* Sales of additional services including spare parts, retrofits and upgrades within an existing install base.
* Trouble-shooting and technical & commercial support. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Price & contract negotiation and to close out all sales.

Experience & background required for the role of Sales Manager:

* A proven track record in selling mechanical or rotating process related products, equipment or systems.
* You must have a proven track record selling into either the Food, Beverage, Distilleries, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Process market sector.
* Minimum HNC / HND or degree in mechanical engineering is highly desirable.
* You must be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* You must also demonstrate excellent relationship building skills with a passion for new business sales.
