SPP Pumps main R&D, manufacturing and test facilities are centrally located in a purpose-built facility in Gloucestershire, while products are supported by an after-sales service division that provides complete global customer care in field service, planned maintenance, spares supply and regional repair centers, located near to major demand.

The Role

Project Controller / Planner

Job Purpose:

* To plan, coordinate, monitor and expedite engineered to order customer orders from engineering release to completion and delivery.
* Create and manage resource plans that maximise resources and optimise customer satisfaction through the provision of timely and accurate schedule dates.
* Work with engineering and contracts to generate effective and realistic supply, manufacture, assembly and test plans that achieve customer required by dates - following the company's' stage gate procedures.
* Work with purchasing to coordinate and align material supply with project timescales whilst giving due consideration to inventory value and cash-flow targets.
* Work with production (Machine Shop Team) to coordinate and align the availability of materials both internally and from third party sub-contractors.
* Arrange and coordinate weekly project review meetings with all relevant stakeholders. Prepare and issue project plans, action registers and progress actions required.
* Prepare and distribute monthly performance data and KPI's covering project milestone adherence, resource and capacity availability, materials availability and inventory values & ratios.

The Person Spec

* Professional business qualification or equivalent experience in Project Planning, Production and / or Materials Control or Supply Chain Management.
* Experience in a project based heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office' experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment;
* Working knowledge of planning processes, theories and practices.
