A Primary School based in Newham is looking to hire 3 enthusiastic and motivated learning support assistants to support children with a range of needs, including challenging behaviour and Autism. They are looking for individuals who can set clear and firm boundaries to effectively support learning, whilst also being able to differentiate work to suit the child’s individual needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and teachers, to update them on the children’s progress.

The role will be to work 1:1 with a variety of children in Key Stage 1, supporting with behaviour and social interaction, as well as the National Curriculum.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

* be educated to degree level
* Have at least 1 year of experience supporting children/adults with challenging behaviour and/or Autism
* Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and be willing to learn and develop new skills
* Be keen to work as part of a team
* Be committed to promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a Criminology/Psychology degree, youth support or social work background, who is seeking to gain experience within a primary school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
