English graduate Teaching Assistant- St Helens

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of our partner secondary school located in St Helens to source the support of an English graduate Teaching Assistant. This position is to start immediately and is a fantastic role for an English graduate to utilise their knowledge in a secondary school environment. It is also a unique opportunity for any English graduates who are thinking of completing their teacher training in the near future:

Due to the ambition of the Head teacher of this highly regarded school in the area, we are looking for an enthusiastic English graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant. This role is to start ASAP and will be to specifically raise the attainment in English.

Your role as an English graduate Teaching Assistant will be to support across all year groups in English lessons by working 1-to-1 with identified pupils. There will also be the opportunity to tutor small groups with past exam papers ahead of the upcoming GCSE period. Therefore being able to build rapport with young people is essential. You must also be able to display empathy to their learning needs.

This role will be on a flexible basis until the summer initially making it suitable for undergraduates also.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
