Teaching Personnel is seeking to appoint a full time Food Technology Teacher to join a local Secondary School in South Manchester. This will be a full time position commencing in January 2019 until July 2019 for two full terms. After the contracted Food Technology teacher position has been completed, you will be reviewed by the secondary school and have an opportunity to be a permanent member of staff. Experienced or Newly Qualified Teachers in Food Technology are welcome to apply.

As a Food Technology Teacher you will be supported by the established technology department and will work alongside some excellent practitioners who are happy to develop and support you in your Food Technology lessons. For this desired position you must have experience working across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Food Technology.

At the South Manchester based secondary school you will be expected to plan and deliver practical lessons to a good standard. You will also need to have behaviour management skills as the secondary school has a wide variety of students with some more challenging than others. Moreover, you will need to support students with SEN such as autism and ADHD as well as incorporating support for EAL as there are a high number of students that need support with this difficulty. As the school is located near tram and bus stops, public transport is easily accessible. The school also has a staff car park for your car if you have a vehicle.

Criteria for the Food Technology Teacher Position:

**Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

**Full time availability from January 2019 – July 2019

**Have experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.

**Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Secondary Teachers

**Be passionate about teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
