Set in 140 acres of landscaped parkland, it is the tranquillity of our client's hotel that allows you to forget you are just 15 miles from the centre of London. The estate boasts a wonderful collection of rare trees gathered from all over the world by the Byron family.

Originally built in 1850, the Manor House has been tastefully restored to its former glory. The beautiful country house retains many original features from the open fire place to the glass atrium giving a light and airy feel to the Hotel.

What are they looking for?

They currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Food and Beverage Manager.

The Food and Beverage Manager will be expected to take complete control and accountability for the day-to-day food and beverage operations throughout the hotel to ensure that the highest level of service is offered to guests. You would ensure the management of the departments are meeting the set criteria, through confirming that all employees consistently achieve product and hospitality service standards. You will also be required to help run functions to a high quality.

You must be passionate, enthusiastic and organised to motivate and lead talented and professional teams to ensure they are consistently working to provide excellent service, polite and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times; whist being correctly uniformed.

You would control costs through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, par stock levels maintained and minimise waste to meet with Company standards. This would be achieved by carrying out monthly stocktakes and action any discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent knowledge of food and wine and be passionate about hospitality and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanour throughout the dining experience. This position requires at least 2 years experience within a restaurant and bar environment in the position of Food and Beverage Supervisor or ideally Food and Beverage Manager.

You must have a clear vision of the levels of service that are expected, the experience to maintain consistency and the ability to achieve and improve our levels of guest satisfaction. You must demonstrate proven communication skills and the ability to multi task and seek creative solutions. The successful candidate will have will have fantastic food and beverage knowledge and/or WSET qualifications.
