Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Bury

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a teaching assistant on behalf of our client school located in Bury.

Due to a shortage within their support department an excellent opportunity has emerged for a teaching assistant to join this excellent school from November 2018.

* Full time teaching assistant role providing support to pupils aged 11 -16
* Supporting pupils learning and development across all curriculum areas
* Located close to Bury town centre a short walk from the Metrolink
* Earn from �1300 - �1400 per month

Due to a shortage of support staff, the school SENCO wishes to appoint a teaching assistant who holds previous experience supporting secondary aged pupils in an educational capacity. This teaching assistant post is full time position to start in November following the half term break, through till the end of the academic year (July 2019).

As a teaching assistant within this school, no day will be the same and the successful applicant will hold a number of responsibilities including;

* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis within a range of subjects
* Providing general classroom support to class teachers to prompt learning
* Delivering small group tuition sessions across a range of subject areas
* Assisting the learning of pupils with Autism, Dyslexia and EBD.

The support team are vibrant and friendly and the school holds strong staff moral. The school is a short drive from Bury city centre and is roughly a 10 minutes drive from the M66 motorway making the surrounding areas easily commutable; Bolton, Rochdale, Manchester and Salford.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
