Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large RC Secondary school and Sixth form in Salford. Due to an increase in the percentage of pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) this academic year, the school wish to appoint a team of Behaviour Support Assistants to work within their on-site Alternative Provision.

Behaviour Support Assistant – the role:

* Full time position supporting identified pupils who display challenging behaviour during the school day.
* Working alongside class teachers and the SEN Co-Ordinator to manage and promote positive behaviour.
* Delivering small group activities with pupils in KS3 and KS4 outside of full lessons with guidance from class teachers.

“Our Support Team wish to appoint a team of experienced Behaviour Support Assistants to work with small groups of identified pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four. We are accepting applications from Youth Workers, experienced Mentors and Graduates with experience working with challenging behaviours. This position will be commencing with immediate effect, and will be available until the end of the academic year.” SENCO

The successful team of Behaviour Support Assistants will have access to consistent CPD training through the school and full support from the well established support team. Other benefits of this position include;

Our partner Secondary school is located in the Swinton area of Salford and can be easily accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). The school pride themselves on their determination to ensure all pupils are able to excel within education and that every child has access to the support they require during the school day.

With 1,300 pupils on roll, the school is larger than average and accommodates a large team of Support Assistants. The successful Behaviour Support Assistants will join a successful team and will have the opportunity to secure a fixed term position following the initial success of the first period.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
