Behaviour support teaching assistant – Salford based secondary school

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a behaviour support teaching assistant on behalf of our client secondary school located in Salford.

The role of a behaviour support teaching assistant in this school will specifically focus on improving the behaviour of disengaged pupils aged 11-16 and improving their progress within school:

* Full time behaviour support teaching assistant – Immediate start
* Supporting the behaviour and engagement of pupils within secondary education
* Working across all year groups supporting pupils on a 1-to-1 basis with identified pupils and with small groups.
* Previous experience of supporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural difficulties and special educational needs is desired
* Earn up to �1400 per month

This large secondary school located in Salford have identified a small number of pupils who require additional support. This role is to work with specific pupils to effectively engage them with their studies. You will be expected to work on a 1-to-1 basis and with small groups to act as role model and support pupils learning and development.

The ideal candidate will be confident supporting those who often display challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for reinforcing positive behaviour management strategies and recording pupil progress within lessons to senior staff in school.

Located in Swinton, the school borders both Bury and Salford and is easily commutable from Manchester City Centre. The school is broadly average in size with around 900 pupils on roll and is an oversubscribed specialist technology college.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
