Situated on the border of Royton and Shaw, our client school is a large oversubscribed secondary comprehensive which is well regarded in the local community. The school has currently 1200+ students enrolled across 11 – 16, with excellent links to local colleges. The school has recently undergone a change in Headteacher, with the newly appointed Head immediately making changes in teaching and learning, which have already improved results and progress being made across Key Stage 3 and 4.

The position as a Maths teacher will consist of a predominantly Key Stage 3 timetable, teaching Maths to mixed ability groups in Year 7 and middle ability students in Year 8 and 9, along with sharing a Year 10 group preparing for their GCSE examinations.

The successful Maths teacher will have;

* UK QTS and completed a teacher training programme in Mathematics

* Previous experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and GCSE

* The ability to effectively manage behaviour and ensure progress across age and ability range

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
