Paralegal

A Paralegal is needed to take up a crucial role, within the Knowledge Management (KM) team, for a leading international law firm in London. Expect to learn from a talented team and gain exposure across different practice groups and jurisdictions.

With 12 offices and more than 500 staff, this award-winning global firm works with an international client base which includes the world`s top law firms, financial institutions, investment funds and private individuals. Due to continued success they are now seeking a Paralegal / Knowledge Paralegal with superb attention to detail to join the team.

Reporting to the Knowledge Manager and Global Head of KM, the Paralegal / Knowledge Paralegal will play a vital role supporting the knowledge management efforts across the firm and all its practice areas.

In more detail your duties / responsibilities as the Paralegal / Knowledge Paralegal will include:

- Monitoring legal and market developments;
- Continuous legislation review, you will ensure fee earners are supported with up-to-date legal references;
- Maintaining internal databases, including court filings and hearing spreadsheets;
- Capturing knowhow from matter folders/bundles as well as floor walks;
- Conducting basic legal research and drafting
- Researching for updates, proofreading and reference checking for external publications;
- Ensuring documents meet inhouse style and correct branding;
- Assisting the KM team on ad hoc knowhow projects;
- Supporting data migration.

To qualify- � You should be a Paralegal / Knowledge Paralegal / Legal Assistant or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

- Previous legal experience in a legal / professional services firm;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong research skills;
- Computer literacy, including in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- You are responsible and conscientious;
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to build rapport with individuals from inside and outside the Firm
- You are a "self-starter" who takes initiatives but seeks guidance as appropriate;
- Good organisational skills;
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- An interest in your continuous professional development.
- Previous legal experience in a legal/professional services firm
