Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with Secondary schools and Academies across the Salford LEA to recruit for a team of Maths Learning Support Assistants to work within their schools this academic year.

Working within the Maths department as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to promote the learning of all pupils, especially those that are not yet meeting their current target grade, alongside GCSE students ahead of the examination period in order to bridge the gap between them and their peers.

* Full time Maths Learning Support Assistant, Salford – immediate start.
* Must hold or be in the process of completing a Maths specialist qualification.
* Experience supporting young people in an education setting is not required but is highly desirable.
* Opportunity to work in a range of ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Secondary schools across Salford.
* Work 1:1, in small intervention groups and deliver pre-planned Maths lessons with full guidance and support.

The successful Maths Learning Support Assistants can expect to receive full on going support with their professional development through relevant CPD training programmes in place at our partner schools.

Secondary schools across Salford range from small to significantly larger populated establishments, with some schools accommodating over 1100+ pupils. You will have the chance to work in faith/non-faith schools, work with SEN and mainstream pupils, through the Maths Learning Support Assistant role.

Salford can easily be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also public transport options throughout Salford with links across Greater Manchester for those who do not drive.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
