Restructuring Manager – (Organisation Design, Agile, Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management)Being a restructuring manager is in many ways the corporate, capitalist version of a wildfire. When you hear that one is coming to your work, you are immediately filled with a sense of impending doom and destruction as the risk of redundancy sweeps over like the billowing smoke of the natural inferno. However, much like a wildfire, restructuring is in the long run extremely beneficial and important for the longevity of the firm. Sometimes it is important to take a step back and strip and organisation down to its bare bones in order to work out what is and isn’t necessary. This takes an extremely select type of person who is able to stay open minded and not let their judgement be clouded by sentiment and tradition, but instead see endless avenues for change and improvement, and then act accordingly.In this role you will be helping clients to create new designs for their organisations which will address the issues they are having and the vision they seek to attain. To do this you will have to be creative and think outside of the box as mentioned earlier, applying your expert knowledge into difficult challenges. While you need to have experience in an organisational design consulting role, you will have to adapt to every client and their individual needs. This will require both impeccable listening and communication skills to learn what is wanted as well as why the suggestions you come up with are so important.
