Location: A choice of London/UK, Gentofte or Skærbæk.
Duration: 12th November 2018 till 31st March 20194.5 months (extension possible).
Shift pattern: (part-time) 2-3 days per week expected.

Our client, who is one of the largest offshore wind farm developers, is looking to hire on a part-time basis an Electrical Design and Compliance Manager to work on a new offshore wind farm project.

Responsibilities include:
Ensuring the scope related to the electrical system design is on track and well documented towards project management and stakeholders. The role will not involve calculations and studies, but rather to manage and coordinate the scope, deliverables, risks, and challenges towards the business.

- Manage compliance processes as per agreed with dates in grid connection agreement.
- Manage internal deliverables as per project schedule.
- Coordinate cross functional interfaces for electrical scope into Operation Control Philosophy.
- Manage data flow and version control of documents/data to WTG and other suppliers.
- Internal reporting to project management on progress, challenges, risks, etc.
- Ensure transparency on decisions via well documented decision notes.
- Provision of overall electrical system design, modelling and simulation studies.
- Grid Code compliance.
- Ensure that the project is on time on quality and within scope and budget.
- Comply with guidelines and current standards, ie ISO9001 requirements as well as local requirements.
- Ensure that the best technical practices are implemented.
- Ensure hand-over of agreed documentation to O&M and OFTO.
- Comply with and enforce the Company HSE requirements.
- Agree scope of works for the overall electrical system design and compliance.
- Ensure technical/economical optimisation of electrical system and array and that all relevant studies are carried out.
- Prepare inputs to business case for various designs and connection options.
- Prepare electrical system design reports and verification of grid code compliance.
- Management of external suppliers (external analyses).
- Prepare QA plan, ensure that persons/external parties are appointed.
- Prepare & review technical documents and perform QA.
- Continuously report progress, variations and challenges to the electrical project manager and provide input to various reports.
- Manage grid connection application process together with commercial responsible and project management.
- Prepare and submit necessary data and compliance documentation required.
- Prepare contract documents & QA related to grid compliance requirements eg in WTG tender & PL etc.
- Provide necessary information for compliance test and ensure feedback from test and commissioning into system design.

 Key qualifications:

- Relevant GWO certificates (minus helicopter).
- MSc EE degree or equivalent experience and project management experience corresponding to PM1.
- Recommended 3 years of relevant work experience with electrical wind farm design and/or power system analysis.
- Recommended 2 year of experience working in project matrix organisation.
- Strong analytic approach and negotiation skills.
