BSL Teaching Assistant - Brent

We are currently recruiting British Sign Language Teaching Assistants on the behalf of a reputable Primary School located in Kingsbury. The School are in need of BSL TAs who are able to hit the ground running immediately to work in their Total Communication Base providing support to hearing impaired pupils. This role entails working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and signing the classroom teacher to ensure that these students are able to participate in classroom activities. To be considered for this role you must be BSL level 2 qualified.

The school can offer long-term positions and part-time positions.

The ideal candidate:

-At least 3 months experience as a British Sign Language Teaching Assistant within a school based setting.

-You MUST be BSL Level 2 Qualified

-You MUST be able to sign and speak to ensure that pupils have a good understanding of the classroom activities

-Flexible and able to support children of all ages

-Good command of the English Language

-A Valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
