Technical Customer Service Manager - Automotive

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Salary: �32,000 - �36,000 Depending on Experience

About the Technical Customer Service Manager position:

Our client is a dynamic and fast paced leading global player in the automotive tuning sector, they are looking for a Technical Customer Service Manager to lead and manage a small team of product support technicians at its Chelmsford headquarters.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will manage the technical team on a day to day basis and be tasked with ensuring a high level of customer service and a positive customer experience whilst supporting both trade and retail customers with technical queries and vehicle installations.

Duties will also include stock management, introducing new product lines and testing equipment.

You will need to be highly motivated, a strong leader, technically minded with the ability to problem solve and have a keen interest in cars.

What will you need to become the successful Technical Customer Service Manager?

* Ideally 3+ years in a managerial position, preferably within an automotive environment or working within a technical/mechanical/engineering support role in any discipline
* Experience of vehicle tuning and/or vehicle electronics would be extremely beneficial
* Excellent understanding of modern petrol and diesel engines is a must
* Strong customer focus
* Open to new technologies, using whatever is the best tool for solving the problem at hand
* Knowledge of inventory and stock management an advantage
* Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
* Flexibility to travel in the UK and internationally as and when required is a must
* A degree in Motorsport, Engineering or Automotive Engineering would be advantageous
* Due to the nature of this role the successful applicant must have passed a CRB check and have satisfactory references
