Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker for an Alternative Provision in Harrogate (HG3). The school is easily accessible by public transport from Harrogate, Leeds and surrounding areas. The role is full time and to start as soon as possible, it is likely that the role will go permanent depending on the success of the candidate.

The school caters to students across Key Stages 1 - 4 who have statements of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. These students tend to come from difficult and complex backgrounds and they might be Looked After and in Foster Care. Due to the nature and complexities of the students needs, there will be some challenging behaviour so we are looking for someone who can be engaging and resilient to this with strong behaviour management skills.

The school adopts a nurturing and therapeutic approach. The class sizes are very small and there is a lot of support in each meaning that the children get the 1:1 attention and person centred structure that they need to achieve their academic, social and personal goals.

The benefits of working with Teaching Personnel are:

* Flexibility to suit you
* Great rates of pay
* Ongoing CPD and training
* The opportunity to get a permanent role in a school that you love

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
