Teaching Personnel are supporting a Specialist Autism School in Maidenhead with finding numerous teaching assistants to work full time with either primary or secondary pupils.

This school caters for children with Autism (verbal and non-verbal) and associated behaviour needs. Pupils will use a variation of PEC’s and Makaton signing to communicate. Each pupil receives an individualistic intervention programme based on learning through rewards. Most pupils will work 1:1 with a key Teaching Assistant who will observe, track progress and record the data on charts.

This school is rapidly growing and hoping to take in more pupils within the next 2 years, hence the reason Teaching Personnel are supporting there recruitment.

Successful candidates:

* Experience personal or professional experience with Autism
* Special Needs Experience in a mainstream and/or SEN setting
* Resilient and comfortable managing behaviour
* Able to follow instructions
* Quick at learning and adapting to change
* Passion to work with children

All staff are expected to work Monday-Thursday (8.30am- 4.30pm) and Friday (8.30am – 3.30pm). Although all pupils leave at 3.30pm staff stay on for training and personal development.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
