Agile Coach – (Enterprise Agility, Training Plans, Human Capital, Stakeholder Engagement)It’s 10:38pm in the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport. Your flight is delayed, you’re tired, you’re disgruntled, but most of all you are starving. You venture into the mini airport supermarket to grab a meal deal to tide you over before you embark on your three-and-a-half-hour flight to Heraklion. Visions of a Chicken Tikka sandwich, salt and vinegar crisps, and an ice tea fill your head with wonder and delight. As you shuffle into the shop, over to the fridges, expecting to be encountered by an abundance of sandwiches, from Tuna Mayo, to All-Day Breakfast. There is however one problem. There are no sandwiches left with the one futile exception of Egg and Cress because no one likes Egg and Cress. This kind of situation haunts my dreams and should yours as well, however, there is a solution. Agile. If this miniature supermarket had adopted an Agile working practice, then you would never have been put in this predicament. An Agile Coach is therefore needed in order to train the organisation in Agile so you never have to experience such horrors again.As an Agile Coach you must be well versed in all of the variations of Agile, from Scrum, to Kanban, to SAFe. You will be dealing with a variety of stakeholders across your clients from C-Level executives, to frontline employees and must be able to communicate effectively with all of them, varying your style of approach accordingly.
