Location: Leeds City Centre

Salary: �20,155 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday between 9.30am-7.30pm and every Saturday 10.30am-3.30pm

As a Customer Service Advisorin their Client Support team you'll be taking inbound calls in a busy contact centre environment. You'll be helping clients to manage their existing debt solution with annual reviews and change in circumstance reviews, giving general debt advice and providing support and advice when payments can't be made, you will also be dealing with plan closures. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced financial environment where you will be making a real difference to the lives of people experiencing problem debt.

Customer Service Advisor Responsibilities:

* To conduct reviews with clients by telephone and where necessary in person in order to gather relevant financial information and update the current situation.
* To effectively analyse the information, prioritise debts and develop realistic budgets that fully reflect the client's family circumstances and ability to maintain their DMP.
* To describe the advantages and disadvantages of each option/solution appropriate to the Client and the possible action of Creditors. To make recommendations as to the most appropriate option/solution i.e. personal Bankruptcy, Debt Relief Orders, IVA, token payment offers, Administration Orders or continuation of the Debt management Plan.
* To take any appropriate action to amend deposits and pay-outs to creditors as appropriate in accordance with the charity's policy.
* To review client payment profiles taking appropriate action where clients persistently miss payments.
* To maintain accurate computer records and paper files in line with procedures and in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
* Where necessary, endeavour to gain creditor acceptance of proposals.
* Keep abreast of current legislation relevant to the money advice sector.
* To ensure all debt advice is delivered in line with the quality standards and productivity targets.

Customer Service Advisor Requirements:

* Experience of working in a client focused environment.
* A working knowledge of MS Word is required and the ability to use e-mail.
* Telephone and customer contact experience.
* Dealing with complex queries.
* Ability to quickly analyse complex problems and provide easily understood solutions.
* Excellent communication skills are required along with the ability to negotiate effectively with third parties.
* Must have the ability to empathise with clients whilst retaining an objective and realistic approach to individual circumstances.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
* Reliable, flexible and responsive with the ability to react to changing customer service demands.
* Deals with customers in a polite, friendly and positive manner.
