The Company

Our client is a leading construction contractor, with a compelling reputation for successfully delivering building and infrastructure works across the UK with a turnover of just shy of �3 Billion. They boast a heavy presence within civil engineering operating across both the public and private sector, and with recent successes have managed to increase their pipeline within the infrastructure market. This is an exciting time to join the company due to their ambitious strategy for further growth and success. They are now looking to add an enthusiastic and articulate Bid Manager to the effective team to help with content creation and ultimately win tenders that will enable the business to achieve these plans.

The Role

As Bid Manager you will be promoting the business, seeking out and advancing business development opportunities to drive revenue into the Construction and Investments Division. Co-ordinating the overall bid submission process you will be responsible for;

* The development of submissions in line with the bid requirement including drafting and reviewing bid text ensuring that the submission of bids is on time and to the required quality
* Managing the bid budget and the bid team making sure that the team is creating high-quality winning bids
* Arrange, attend and chair bid team meetings, preparing meeting agendas, issuing updates and clarifications to the bid team
* Complete and update the bid pursuit plan and contribute to the drafting of text for the submission
* Production of bid submission matrices identifying individual responsibilities for every section
* Maintain topical knowledge of the requirements of the marketplace and maintain up to date resource for practical presentation researching potential career opportunities
* Agreement and management of the bid budget

The Ideal Candidate

You're the Bid Manager I want to be talking with if you have career to date developed a strong bid winning strategy which has created maximum opportunities and chances for new business. This role would be well suited to someone who is looking for the chance to work on a diverse range of civil engineering bids. The bids you will be responsible for developing could be construction, highways, water, rail or aviation related alongside other sectors my client is involved in. The Requirements

To be considered for this Bid Manager role you should ideally be educated to preferably degree level in a subject with a high focus on coordinating a successful bid process where your team have written high quality written work of which you will have had experience of in a live construction environment which could be from either construction, highways, rail, water or aviation sectors. From these ventures you will have gained industry specific knowledge of bid management within the Infrastructure market. All sounding good? Call me now then!
