To manage a team that will produce electrical (systems) design schemes and detail drawings that meet company, regulatory and customer requirements.

Main tasks of the job / key result areas:

* Manage electrical engineering platform teams.
* Manage and deliver electrical systems programmes as per agreed schedules and budgets, Responsible for the Electrical submittals.
* Coordinate with regulatory agencies i.e, EASA, FAA, Boeing and Airbus to certify the electrical systems installed in their aircraft.
* Responsible for checking / approving systems drawings and documents ensuring compliance to OEM’s & Regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with electrical equipment manufacturers to finalise the equipment and their installation specification of the equipment
* Responsible for the design and detail modeling of a variety of suite components in order to meet the program requirements
* Report to senior management about the status of the programmes.
* To communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers & OEM’s
* Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process
* The selection and application of materials and processes appropriate to each design element
* Ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product as a whole
* Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines
* From time to time, must be prepared to undertake tasks outside of their normal duties as requested by their immediate supervisors
* Participate in the validation of the product (using such methods as prototyping, test, etc)
* Must have good working knowledge of BMS documents ECR’s, ADCN’s, Permits, Concessions Etc.
* Mentor Associate / Graduate Engineers.

Key Requirements:

* Qualified to a minimum of degree in an Electrical Engineering field. Alternatively a HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification in an Electrical Engineering field, with a demonstrated extensive knowledge / experience in electrical design and/or aircraft interior equipment and installation. (Been the focal engineer on both Airbus and Boeing programs).
* You will possess an extensive experience of CAD/CATIA V5 as well as aircraft interiors knowledge.
* Able to manage electrical systems design team.
* Experience of working with Boeing and Airbus specifications for electrical equipment installation.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements of EASA and FAA for electrical systems equipment and installation
* The applicant should have an understanding of the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, as well as OEM installation requirements.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft office and Microsoft project.
* You are a competent communicator with the ability to establish good-working relationships across the departments and become an effective team-player.
