Advantage Resourcing are working closely with a major Government official recruiting for an Operational Support to join their dynamic team for 12 months with a look to extend. You will need to go through SC Clearance for this role and will involve some travel once a month.

The Role

Main Duties:

* Managing all TSS financial information to ensure accruals, month/year end and forecasting processes can be completed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Managing the requisition process including obtaining quotes, checking budget position/gaining the appropriate authorisations, raising requests to purchase, completing the necessary clearance of invoices for payment, and timely/accurate updating of financial trackers.
* Meeting and working with Finance Department to reconcile any deviations from the general ledger
* Managing the BAU Operational logistics of the department. Liaising with technical leads and suppliers including obtaining information to resolve queries and managing supplier contracts, to ensure the smooth running and support of Enterprise Services.
* Identifying smarter ways of working within the BAU Operational space, improvements to current processes and tools and continuous improvement Recruitment and Training
* Managing the internal and external recruitment process including completion of the appropriate approval forms and job descriptions, formulating and agreeing recruitment plans, assigning and briefing panel members, and providing administrative support to interview panels.
* Supporting the Implementation leads and capability leads in identifying any skills gaps in the department and undertaking a recruitment campaigns with Enterprise Services business management to support this.
* Resource forecasting and supporting the Workforce Planning process with senior management. Administrative - Other departmental duties as required.

The Successful Candidate:

* Similar experience within Public Sector is highly advantageous
* Experience in account payable – using cost codes/ledgers.
* Comfortable carrying out financial audits
* Recruitment experience
* General PMO Support skills
* PRINCE2 Practitioner & Degree educated
* Business/Operations Finance Experience
* Data Analysis and reconciliation (automation/reports)
* SC Clearance is preferable but not essential
