The Role

Teaching Personnel are eagerly looking to work with psychology graduates to work in a ‘Good’ alternative provision. The school has a broad range of SEMH conditions ranging from attachment disorders all the way through to challenging behaviour. The role will involve working within a classroom setting, although on occasion it could be required to go offsite with pupils to escort them to alternative locations.

About you as the ideal candidate

* The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with SEMH children, either in a class setting or alternatively in a 1:1 setting could be considered.

* Otherwise you might have worked with children who have exhibited challenging behaviour in another relevant setting.

* Ideally, you will be trained as a teaching assistant and be a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, although this is not necessarily essential, but will preferably have at least a 2:1 in Psychology

* You will have Team Training or would be willing to undertake.

* You will be committed to the safe guarding of children

* You will have your own transportation and be willing to travel reasonable distances for work
