This secondary school based on the border of Westhoughton and Hindley wish to appoint a graduate teaching assistant who can provide support pupils across a range of subjects.

** Full time graduate teaching assistant position – ASAP start until July 2019

** Supporting the learning of pupils across a range of subjects, primarily Maths, English and Science

** Ofsted graded good school located on the outskirts of Bolton

** Earn up to �1300 a month whilst gaining further experience prior to embarking on a teacher training course

Applicants wishing to be consider for this graduate teaching assistant opportunity are required to be educated to degree level (All subjects welcome to apply) and will ideally have transferable or direct school based experience supporting pupils aged 11-16.

The successful applicant will hold a number of responsibilities within this graduate teaching assistant role including;

* Provide 1 to 1 support in class with individual pupils who require additional support within their studies
* Work closely with new Y7 pupils to support their transition from primary to secondary
* Deliver additional tuition sessions to small groups of GCSE pupils preparing for examinations

This is the ideal opportunity to gain experience within a school where pupils are keen to engage in lessons and behaviour is good. The school has consistently been judged as a ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ features school in previous Ofsted inspections and is average is size with 950 pupils on roll.

Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the school is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.
