Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistants for both Primary and Secondary age groups, experienced in supporting students with autism and severe learning difficulties for a SEND school in Wallsend. The roles are to commence in September.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC and severe learning difficulties (SLD) in a SEND school setting. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Moving & Handling are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills such as Youth Workers or Support Workers as well as recent graduates.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-3 months experience supporting students with ASC and SLD in a mainstream or SEN setting between KS1 - KS2

-Experience with Moving & Handling or Personal Care

-NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools

-Patient and nurturing mannerism

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
