Quanta - ATT Operator

The Role:

- Operating the Advanced Thermal Technology Plant.
- Duties to include monitoring and controlling the process equipment, troubleshooting and
- suggesting repairs, preparing operating logs and computer-generated reports.
- Ensuring the operating crew always maintain waste feed streams.
- Routinely providing directions to the maintenance team or operators.
- Ensuring 100% compliance, permit rules and health/safety regulations.
- Duties are performed in accordance with a detailed knowledge of the Energos Operating
- Instructions, Health/Safety regulations, permit rules, and other company requirements.
- Responsibilities
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and
- acting in a safe manner, always.
- Provides trained competent hands on labour in the ATT areas
- Complete labour demands in the various areas within the ATT area i.e. shift checks, plant
- condition monitoring, visual inspections.
- Comply with company standards and assist in maintaining, with respect to safety, plant
- operations, environmental control, security and housekeeping.
- Maintain such records, statistics and production reports as are required to define activities
- during the shift
- Works within the guidelines of the Amey/Energos work instructions/risk assessments.
- Ensure the plant is operated to the agreed procedures and availability
- Day to day operations of the Energos ATT system.
- Control room and ATT plant responsibilities.
- Carry out routine checks on the ATT System.
- Ensure effective liaison and co-ordination with management personnel.
- Carry out process analysis; interpret data and effect change as appropriate.
- Effectively use and interrogate SCADA system to fault find and optimise plant utilisation
- Carry out basic instrument calibration.
- Willingness to work overtime and shift work ensuring Health and Safety is the number one
- goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times

You will be communicating with:
Environmental Agency, Public and Internal, Operations Manager, Compliance manager, and the
Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

You will need HNC or equivalent operating process plant qualification
Can operate on tools

Experience

- Energy from Waste or Power Station experience
- Minimum 3 years process experience in a related industry.
- Strong communication skills will be needed
- Must be Self-motivated, positive and Proactive
- Team player
- Flexibility to work shifts

Technical competencies
Knowledge of and belief in HSEQ policies
