We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated support worker to join the team at this 7 bedroom specialist adult residential service in Sutton, Surrey.  At this all male service we support gentlemen with learning disabilities, complex and challenging needs.
Main responsibilitiesThe people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice giving them the opportunity to achieve and fulfil their potential.  Our main priority, therefore, is to find support workers with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.

Could this be you?

Your duties will be varied and no two days will be the same.  You'll be providing support for day-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment, holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management.  In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.

Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager).  This means you may need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.  You may also be required to undertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.

Once you click "Apply", you will be directed to our website and asked to create an account.  This will only take a few seconds and just requires you to give us your name and an email address, and will allow us to contact you regarding the vacancy.  We won't share your details with any agencies or other companies.
Ideal candidateWe believe that a successful Support Worker doesn’t always have experience, but shares our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.

Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must.

An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and some experience in care work would be an added bonus, but we have a fantastic in-house training team who can help you along if you are taking your first steps in your career as a support worker.

Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
About the companyWe are a leading provider of care and support for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs, including autistic spectrum conditions, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, profound and multiple learning disabilities and epilepsy.

The people we support live in homely, family-like residences, and are encouraged to participate fully in the local community.

Our values ensure that all support provided is the shared responsibility of CMG staff, the individuals, their families and other key people in their lives.  Everyone should be given the choice needed to enable them to achieve their potential.  All CMG staff will ensure that everyone is treated as an individual, with dignity and respect.  We have an open culture, where everyone feels valued and appreciated.

CMG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the people we support, adults and children, and expect all staff to share this commitment.

Why work for CMG?
