WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm


THE COMPANY:  The business, based in Rotherham, is a well-established Software Development company that uses the power of software to deliver solutions, training and consulting to the Engineering sector.


THE ROLE:  Are you passionate about delivering high-quality IT-support to colleagues globally? We are looking for an experienced, committed, and driven and service minded IT Supporter who can strengthen the global IT team.

You will be part of the global Support & Factory IT team, working together with dedicated colleagues in Europe, USA and Asia.

As IT Support/Helpdesk Engineer you will be working with tickets in a Helpdesk system, international hotline phone inquiries and direct end-user support. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the maintenance and implementation of new IT solutions. This position will be based in Sheffield, UK

Key Responsibilities to include:

- Handle FrontDesk – responding to incoming service requests and hotline inquiries
- Handle service requests directly with the end-user
- Asset Management – administrating computers, software and licenses to current systems
- Troubleshooting network service and connectivity
- User account management
- Security handling and data protection

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:-

The ideal candidate will have these essential skills and qualifications as a minimum:


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent technical education


Min. 3 years of working experience and knowledge within IT support function




- Microsoft Exchange 20132016 deployment and administration
- VMWare ESX vCenter vSphere deployment and administration
- Windows 2008R2-2016 Server, Windows 7,8,8.1 & 10,



- TCP/IP and Networking Principals such as LAN, WAN, Internet, WiFi, Firewall & VPN
- Veeam Enterprise Backup Technologies
- knowledge of Redhat and or SUSE Linux would be advantageous




- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written 
- Strong organizational skills/ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be a team player and be willing to assist where ever necessary
- Service-minded and a problem solver mentality
- Positive attitude towards user issues
- You think alternatively and have a passion for technology
