Learning Support Assistant required for an ‘Outstanding’ client Secondary school situated in the West of Wigan.

Learning Support Assistant

* Full time Learning Support Assistant – required immediately
* Supporting the learning of students who require additional guidance during lessons
* Pay in line with previous experiences (between �1000 - �1200 per month)
* 12 month temporary position starting in the new academic year
* Located in Bolton, accessible via the M61

This Learning Support Assistant position is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a positive impact on students and their learning within school. It will require the incoming member of staff to be flexible and have an understanding approach when dealing with students who may otherwise be falling behind in their studies or need additional support during class.

The role;

* Working with students on a 1:1 basis supporting them in core subject areas (Maths, English and Science)
* Running small intervention classes with students that are falling behind in class.
* Helping to manage the behaviour of individuals, ensuring that they remain on task and are focused during lessons.
* Working closely with the Heads of Department and class teachers to ensure pupils are making constant improvements and working towards their progress targets.

Our client Secondary school is slightly smaller than the average secondary school in the area with around 850 pupils currently enrolled. Due to its location in the West of Wigan the school is easily accessible from surrounding areas; Bolton, Leigh and Salford.

Students within the school are highly motivated to succeed and thoroughly enjoy their learning across the full range of subjects, they show immense concentration and perseverance when faced with challenging tasks.
