Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary SEN provision in Sunderland to recruit a full time behaviour teaching assistant on a temporary basis, however there is strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The role will consist of working in small class groups of students with BESD across Key Stages 2 and 3. A Team Teach qualification is highly desirable due to the nature of this role.

The school has a strong focus on teaching students based on experiences on what works best with their learners, so the candidate will need to be adaptable and enthusiastic about working closely with the students. The school aims to re-engage, motivate and support young people towards achieving their goals, you will be helping students shape and develop skills that they will need or future life. You will also be responsible for working in partnership with multiple agencies to achieve real positive change in the student’s lives, this will also assist you in delivering effective behaviour management and reflective practice.

The ideal candidate will have:

-At least three months experience in an SEND environment
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A patient and caring attitude
