Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a small secondary provision in South Tyneside, to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis. There is strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The role is based in a specialist provision for KS3/4 students with BESD and ASC. You will be working closely with the current team of teachers and teaching assistants to carry out small group sessions, as well as the potential for 1:1 work with some students. The candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in lunch time clubs as well as in class time support.

Candidates with experience working with BESD in mainstream and SEN environments are encouraged to apply. You will be dedicated to providing outstanding support. A Team Teach qualification is desirable for this role but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have:

At least three months experience in an SEND environment
-Experience working with students with BESD
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A patient and caring attitude
