Industrial Services Engineer

Day shift - 39 hours

SALARY - �35k, plus overtime, package, pension and genuine opportunities to progress your career, develop your skills and grow into more senior roles within the business such as Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Project Engineer, Improvements Engineer as well as others both at the site or at other sites in the group in the UK or worldwide.

Our client; a global FMCG company and a leading player in the UK and worldwide food manufacturing sector. With ever increasing investment into their UK sites and due to expansion of one of its key sites they are now looking for 1 new Industrial Services Technician to work within their Industrial Services/Utilities department.

Essential Skills:

Steam system or Boiler Operating qualification e.g. City and Guilds or BOAS.

Experience operating and maintaining steam raising plant and associated systems.

Sound engineering experience proven within a manufacturing environment.

Practical and theoretical knowledge of maintaining utilities.

Education to ONC/HNC level in engineering discipline.

Strong communication skills – speaking, listening & coaching.

Sound technical knowledge and practical experience of working within health and safety legislation.

Computer literate, including MS Office and SAP.

Practical fault finding and rectification skills and able to manage time pressure and multiple priorities

Accountabilities:

Full compliance with Safety, Health and Environment legislation requirements and site rules with the responsibility for own safety and others.

Ensure reliable cost effective utility services to site to optimise the Factory performance. Contribute to site energy reduction and assist with ETS objectives.

Operation and maintenance of Energy centre, site utilities and ensure full compliance and GI’s management systems and policies.

Collate/report energy and utility data to support WER/DER regulatory requirements and track consumption's against plant manufacturing volumes..

Issue Permit To Work, isolation, relevant safety documentation and provide supervision to Contractors working on utility equipment as required.

Develop and manage equipment failure programs. Apply problem solving methodologies and implement effective preventative measures and carry out continuous improvement activities.

Use of condition based monitoring systems, understand CBM hardware & software and analyse data i.e. air & steam leaks throughout factory.

Determination and documentation of plant operating standards and use of computerised maintenance systems to monitor and analyse machine performance (SAP).

Provide call out cover on a rotational basis.

Assist with control and administration of Pressure Systems ensuring written scheme are followed.
