An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager within a local company based in the Stockport area. If you`re a Bid Manager with a creative flair and have a good understanding of print and digital communications, then this might be the role you`ve been looking for!

Our client, a market leader, is looking for an excellent Bid Manager to support the consistent bids and tenders coming through from both their public and private sector clients/prospects. They are looking for someone who has either worked in procurement, on the `other side` of the tendering process (reviewing tenders and deciding on suitability) or someone who is used to putting tenders together and has the creativity to answer questions both succinctly and in the detail, whilst understanding your audience.

Ultimately, we are looking for someone who understands the tender process, what a buyer is looking for in the tender, knows how to explain how the products/services meet their needs, can sell the benefits of what is being delivered and can do it on time and increase success rates. They are looking for someone who wants to help the company grow, that isn`t set in their ways and can bring vitality to the team and integrate into the team dynamic. The team are enthusiastic, personable and strong willed but extremely supportive and our client is looking for someone to echo these characteristics as their staff turnover is very low. They are supported in terms of development and opportunity and the environment is modern and very friendly.

Main duties to include:

- Keeping track of relevant tender sites
- Monitor/receive notifications of all relevant tenders
- Download tenders and determine if the business should respond
- Complete all necessary documents
- Write all tender responses and relevant proposals
- Keep an up to date library of all useful/relevant information
- Monitor submitted tenders (whether won or lost) in order to help with future strategy
- Submit ideas for constant improvement to the Directors
- Keeping up to date with all ISO and relevant accreditations as well as GDPR
- Monitoring vendors and auditing
- Investigating new suppliers
- Maintaining a record of relevant vendor accreditations
- Advise on merits of particular suppliers versus job requirements

We are looking for:

- Bid Management experience
- Working knowledge of the print and digital communications industry (essential)
- Background in either bid management or supply chain/procurement with strong bid knowledge
- Excellent command of the written word
- Strong attention to detail and ability to `read between the lines` of a tender question
- A desire to succeed under time pressured situations
- Excellent time management
- Excellent organisational skills
- Someone who has a passion for service delivery, is a team player and wants to work in a business that is ambitious and has an excellent reputation for customer service and delivery
