Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a primary school in the area of Derby, who is in need of 1:1 support for one pupil.

The school is a GOOD school located in the area around Derby, covering all ages between 3 to 11 years, from EYFS through to year 6, with the addition of a nursery. The school aims to raise achievement standards through a caring, secure and stimulating environment. Promoting equal opportunities for all individuals within their social and culturally diverse school, and continues to support this throughout the variety of their curriculum. They encourage the students to be independent, responsible and enthusiastic learners and require teaching assistants that will continue this ethos.

The school are looking for a teaching assistant who has experience supporting SEN children, in particular a child with PD if possible.

Ideally you will have excellent behaviour management and the ability to build a strong rapport with your students. Additional behaviour training is desirable but NOT essential as Teaching Personnel can provide you with Team Teach behaviour training as part of your CPD.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

* Experience working with children and young people aged 3+ either in education or health care settings.
* Confidence to work on your own initiative, as well as contributing to a team
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Confident to manage challenging behaviour and re-engage students who are disaffected and not currently engaged in their education
* Be able to participate in any extra-curricular activities required
