Full-time English teacher required to cover a Maternity gap within our client Secondary school in Wigan.

This Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school wish to meet with interested candidates immediately with the view to appoint the incoming teacher in readiness for the schools return in March 2019.

This position in our client Secondary school is an exciting opportunity to join a school in Wigan that provides constant support to all of their teachers. The Head of Department wishes to meet with interested teachers at their convenience with the aim of appointing by February.

The incoming English teacher will take sole responsibility of the planning and marking responsibilities for their students and will have a complete timetable consisting of KS3 and GCSE classes. It is essential that incoming teacher is able to use effective and varied teaching methods in order to push their students to achieve excellent results at GCSE level and help them to regularly exceed their target grade.

This secondary school is located in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. In their most recent Ofsted report they achieved an overall grade of ‘Good’ and are consistently improving. The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan, bordering Warrington which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Salford, Leigh and Chorley.
