Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist school in Newton Aycliffe to recruit a Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 3 and 4 students with SEMH on a full time basis. The role will commence in January on a temporary basis, although it is likely that a permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate. The successful candidate will be working with students with varying SEMH; a Team Teach qualification may be beneficial in this position due to the nature of some of the challenging behaviour in the school. You will be passionate about working with young people to support their SEN.

The ideal candidate will have:
-At least three months experience in an SEND environment
-Experience working with students with SEMH
-TA Qualification, Level 3 (or relevant experience/degree)
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A patient and caring attitude
