Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Specialist SEMH School based in South Shields to recruit a Primary Teacher. The role is to commence ASAP with a strong possibly of a permanent contract for the right candidate. You will be teaching a small Key Stage 2 class of pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Ideally applicants would be Primary Trained, and have experience of teaching pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour either in an alternative provision/PRU setting or mainstream school. An additional qualification such as Team Teach is desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers with strong behaviour management skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

-6 months experience teaching students with SEMH in a mainstream or SEN setting

- Strong presence and excellent behaviour management

-Team Teach Trained and a good understanding of SEMH/EBD

- Primary PGCE

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
