Holt Executive are currently partnered with a global leading aviation technology provider which supplies solutions to commercial airline customers globally.

Our client is currently looking to grow their Bid Management team and is looking to bring on an experienced Bid Manager.

The Bid Manager will be required to lead bidding and capture management of projects across the L3 CTS business units throughout the entire Project Life Cycle, ensuring comprehensive, competitive and customer focused bids are produced for a ranging complexity of new business opportunities.

The Bid Manager will sit within the business Capture team, the responsibilities of this role reaches further than traditional bid management; the role holder will be expected to be instrumental in the formulation, coordination and execution of competitive business capture strategies, presenting these as business cases with the full support of the business unit to the Executive board prior to supporting negotiations with a customer.

Key responsibilities for the Bid Manager position:

* Lead all activities required as part of the development of a proposal to ensure a high quality bid submission.
* Management and coordination of a virtual Business Capture team; including a variety of stakeholders, typically involving Sales, Commercial, Finance, Operations, In-Service Support.
* Obtain a high level of engagement from the team to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently and that the bid is of the highest quality possible.
* In conjunction with key stakeholders, define and execute a clear, creative and comprehensive win strategy for each bid that aligns and draws from the company’s overall strategy and strengths.
* Review customer requirements and define solutions in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts.
* Leadership and coordination of a cross functional team of stakeholders to scope, define and cost the solution. Prepare, challenge, and validate cost estimates for labour, material and other costs.
* Understand and resolve complex technical, financial and strategic business issues.

Key experience required for the Bid Manager position:

* Proactive and willing to act as an entrepreneur and be accountable.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to effectively and efficiently manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams across global time zones.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills required to be able to convey ideas and influence decisions at all levels of the business internally and to external customer organizations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work towards a common goal as part of a multi-functional team.
* Previous experience in bid and/or project management.
* Track record for leading successful multi-disciplinary bids/projects in competitive environments.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Understanding of risk management.
* Strong proposal writing skills.
