Penta Precision is an ISO9001 subcontract machining company, manufacturing components for aerospace, medical, electronics and scientific equipment manufacturers. We process prototype, low to medium batch production in aluminium, engineering plastics, stainless and tool steels. Your CNC Turner role

Working in a small developing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for CNC programming, setting and operating CNC (Fanuc) C and Y axis driven tool, single and twin spindle lathes. You will also:

- Manage and Prioritise workflow to maximise production efficiency
- Ensure the consistent "better than the norm" quality of items are being manufactured
- Ensure on time delivery
- Mentoring apprentices and cross training of current employees
- Demonstrate alignment and the ability to live and work by Penta's Core Values
- Planning, programming with CAD/CAM Systems
- Setting and operating multiple CNC lathes
- Planning, programming and operating XYZ CNC Centre Lathe
- Assisting the quoting function on working methods and tooling.
- Operating CNC milling machines as and when required
- Confirming to the requirements of ISO 9001
- Tool fitting and other assembly work as required
- Good housekeeping and any other workshop duties as required by the business


About You

To be considered for a role as a CNC Turner with Penta Precision, we are looking for someone that not only has extensive post apprenticeship practical knowledge and experience, but also possess the following attributes:

- Ambitious, motivated and a self-starter with a desire to work within a progressive organisation
- Practical knowledge of programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
- Off line CAD/CAM programming experience would also be an advantage but full training will be provided if required
- Setting and operating manual metal cutting machinery (centre lathes, milling machines and surface grinders) would be an advantage
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop manufacturing methods
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a fast paced environment
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Fantastic people skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships along with mentoring and training other team members
- A continued drive to improvement and progress
