This is an immediate requirement for an Electronics Engineer or Electronics Technician with experience of Electronics Design and sub-assemblies.

A great opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineer to work for an Electronics design company in the Farnborough area. This Electronics Engineer role will be working to take apart existing products and redesign them at a sub-assembly level to meet NATO defence standards. This role is a great opportunity for a self-starter to take ownership of a complete product from the initial product design review through to delivering down to the manufacturing line.

The ideal candidate will be an Electronics Engineer with experience in a low volume, high mix electro/mechanical assembly environment. Be able to support day to day issues encountered in production in addition to the normal duties. The candidate shall be capable of designing interface and power cabling for computing equipment and peripherals, Digital / Analogue transition PCBs and basic RF filtering. A working knowledge of Computer component operations is essential.



Responsibilities for this Electronics Design Engineer role

- Engineering electronics sub-assemblies used in projects and products using contractors to augment company facilities.
- Attending and Participating in Project Design reviews engaging with Sales, Operations and Production teams
- Organise functional Test Routines for end-of-line product testing and work-in-progress sub-assemblies
- Assisting in the creation of manufacturing bills of materials and detailed work instructions for internal or external build
- To continuously improve quality and performance and maintain to companies ISO9001 accreditation
- To liaise with customers and suppliers
- Being one of two Electronics Engineers delivering approximately one new product per month

Requirements for this Electronics Design Engineer role

- Minimum of HND in an Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of ISO9001 or other quality standards
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and RFI suppression techniques
- Core Competencies and Desirables
- Practical knowledge of Computing Architecture i.e. Notebooks, Desktops, Servers, Printers, Scanners, Power products, Thin Clients
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Take ownership of tasks and resolve issues with other Project Team members.
- CAD experience & PCB design software


Due to the nature of the work at this site, applicants must be capable of achieving SC level UK security clearance. Current clearance is not a requirement.
